Day 042
Day 042 -After the whirlwind of last night, I left Cleveland bright and early and headed to Nashville for a military assignment. I found myself in the Opryland Hotel, where I once stayed when I was a child. What a beautiful place. I will say it was hard to find an angle that avoided the […]
Day 041
Day 041 -Well I guess you can say I upgraded from Day 040. My friend Bryan called this morning and said he thought he could get us tickets if I could make it. I said, “stop talking to me and I’ll pack.” I jumped in the car and drove to Cleveland a race against the […]
Day 040
Day 040 -Went to the Smokies Stadium for Game 1 of the 2016 World Series to watch the Cubs. The Smokies are a farm team for the Cubs and a lot of fans turned out to support Chicago. (October 25, 2016)
Day 039
Day 039 -It was the perfect evening for bocce ball at World’s Fair Park here in Knoxville. It’s great to live a place that has fun areas to gather. (October 24, 2016)
Day 038
Day 038 -What a great thrill watching the Cubs advance to the World Series for the first time in 71 years with my brother. Both of us are long time Cubs fans and we woke up still feeling like it was a dream. (October 23, 2016)
Day 037
Day 037 -High above a river in the Smokys, I was able to grab a unique perspective and a great shot. (October 22, 2016)
Day 036
Day 036 -Had my first show of the year since I’ve been gone so long, and it was great. Lots of friends came out to see my work and we had a lot of fun. (October 21, 2016)
Day 035
Day 035 -Just as the Cubbies began the game, someone showed up who had been carving pumpkins earlier with a wonderful gift. It looks great in the apartment, and thankful for such a thoughtful gesture. (October 20, 2016)
Day 034
Day 034 -Went on one of my short favorite hikes in the Smokys. She’s a little dry this year but still pretty. I actually got my tripod in the water almost entirely submerged. The water was cold, but I think it was worth it. (October 19, 2016)
